Kőkút
It is found in the western part of Inner Somogy, southwest from Kadarkút. In its western outskirt there flows the Gyöngyös brook. It became independent in 1925, separating from Kőkúttapazd which belonged to Hencse. Its name refers to a waterspring trimmed with stones. In the Middle Ages in the place of Alsótapazd-major, Felsőtapazd-puszta and Kőkúttapazd-major there was a village named Tapazd about which we have information from 1421-1446. It also appears in the tax register of 1536. There was a state primary school in 1908 and a ’summer shelter’ (a kindergarden), between 1902 and 1927 the village had a credit society.
