Kadarkút
This little town is located 25 km southwards from the county centre. It is the administrative, educational centre of the microregion and a junction: Kaposvár towards north, Nagyatád towards west and Szigetvér towards south are at almost equal distance. A diploma of the Abbey of Pannonhalma mentions it for the first time in 1137 as Chadarcuthai. According to some opinions the name comes from the name of the Kader clan. Csokonai Vitéz Mihály visited the municipality several times. It is worth visiting the private arboretum of Tibor Szabadkai and the Neoclassical Roman Catholic church built between 1832 and 1840.
