Csököly
It is located 27 km southwest from Kaposvár. It is a closed, characteristic municipality of Inner-Somogy laying between Naygbajom and Kadarkút. Public transport is difficult. The climate of the area is extreme: draughty, hot summers and cold, dry winters. The prevalent winters are the northeastern and the southwestern. Agricultural conditons are poor. The forests hide deers, wild boars, roe deers, and foxes but we can meet pheasants and hares, too. The poet Csokonai Vitéz Mihály was nursed here by the assistant minister Kis Bálint, his former college mate from Debrecen. Csokonai wrote here a part of his comic epic Dorottya
