This village is located, 12 km from southeast from Kaposvár in the valley of the Surján stream, in the pictoresque hilly area of Zselic. Inhabitants were plant producers and animal breeders breeding mainly pigs, cows, sheep and horses and farming small parcels of 8-10 ’hold’ of land. The most prominent sightseeing of the village is the 3 m high sculpture of St. István which was erected next to the main road. The neat little square with its colourful flowers, the sculpture erected in the millenium year and the nice buildings are inviting. The two village parks with benches and a fire ring are a pleasant sight.
